MT Princess Empress oil spill

Aqueous handled the largest claim in the Philippines.

Early on February 28, 2023, the oil tanker MT Princess Empress sank near Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines, resulting in an oil spill affecting the waters northeast coast of Oriental Mindoro, eastern Semirara and islands in Western Visayas. The vessel was said to be transporting 800,000 liters of industrial fuel oil while en route from Bataan to Iloilo.
